Where to dispose of your Christmas Tree

Still have the Christmas tree up? I’m sure it’s nearing the end of its life in your home and will need to be composted soon. Below are some options to dispose of your Christmas tree locally.

*REMINDER* Trees must NOT be flocked and free of tinsel and other debris. If your tree is flocked it must be disposed of in the garbage.

  • If you pay for yard waste, cut it up and put it in your closed yard waste bin and put out for collection on your normal yard waste pickup day.

  • If you live in the city limits of Puyallup and DO NOT have yard waste pickup or do not have room in your yard waste bins, you can place your tree (cut up in four feet or smaller sections) on the curb by 7 AM on January 6th or January 13th for pickup.

  • Take to a local transfer station for disposal. Below is more information on our local transfer stations.
