Veterans Day 2019

Monday, November 11th is Veterans Day. Puyallup Area Mom’s would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to all the men and women who have bravely served their country. If you would also take a moment out of your day and say thank you to someone who has served. The sacrifice they’ve made for our country is extraordinary and needs to be honored.

There are a couple of events in the Puyallup Area this weekend and on Monday to honor Veterans in our area. Find more details on those events as well as discounts, sales and closures this Veterans Day.

Closed

All government facilities, non-retail businesses or services (banks, offices, etc.), public libraries, and community centers. Post offices are closed and there is no mail delivery. Paid street parking is free on Federal holidays. Some public transportation operates on reduced service, especially commuter routes. Others may operate on regular or holiday schedules (see Public Transportation below).

Open

Most retail stores, shopping malls, grocery stores, drug stores, gas stations, restaurants, movie theaters, parks, and golf courses are open. Some stores may have reduced hours. Some locally owned stores and restaurants may close for the day. Garbage collection is normal. Ferries are on regular schedule.

Sport Clips Haircuts: Free haircut, Nov. 11, plus $1 for every haircut will be donated to the “Help A Hero” scholarship campaign, helping servicemembers and veterans take the next step toward civilian careers through education.

Menchies: (multiple locations) Veterans and servicemen and women receive their first 6 ounces of frozen yogurt FREE on Veterans Day, Monday, November 11.
